About The Position

As a Medical Assistant at Greenbrook Medical, you are central to every patient visit, setting the tone from the moment a patient arrives. You will be responsible for taking vital signs, preparing patients for their provider, and ensuring they feel cared for. This role involves cross-training in front office, back office, labs, and referrals, requiring you to manage both clinical and administrative tasks throughout the day. Your duties will include drawing blood, running EKGs, updating patient records, and coordinating follow-up appointments, enabling providers to focus on patient care. This is a fast-paced, people-focused position where attention to detail directly impacts patient outcomes and experience. The Medical Assistant reports to the Center Manager and will have opportunities for growth as the company expands. The position is located at the Hudson clinic, with potential for local travel to assist other centers. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.

Requirements

  • 3+ years as a medical assistant, ideally in a primary care setting
  • Confidence with vitals, blood draws, EKGs, and basic labs
  • Strong communication skills that build trust with patients and teammates
  • The ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinic
  • Composure and professionalism when things get busy

Responsibilities

  • Own the patient visit, start to finish
  • Take and record vitals, medical histories, and medication lists
  • Prep patients for their exam so the provider can focus on care
  • Handle the hands-on clinical work
  • Administer medications, injections, and treatments as directed by the provider
  • Draw blood and run basic lab tests
  • Perform EKGs and PFTs
  • Document accurately in the EMR and keep patient records clean
  • Coordinate scheduling and follow-up appointments to keep care on track
  • Answer patient questions promptly with concierge-level support
  • Partner with providers and staff to create seamless patient experiences
  • Pitch in to help cover other areas of the clinic when the team needs you
  • Bring a patient-first mindset while upholding our standards of care
