About The Position

Requirements

  • Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent preferred
  • Education: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • Empathy and ability to provide compassionate patient care
  • Teamwork and collaboration with healthcare providers
  • Ability to handle stressful situations professionally
  • Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times
  • Maintains a positive attitude, respects patient confidentiality, and upholds ethical standards.
  • Ensures accurate documentation, follows company protocols, and minimizes errors in patient care.
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments, handles unexpected challenges, and remains dependable under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Taking vital signs
  • Performing Point-of-Care Testing
  • Performing EKGs, phlebotomy, and other diagnostic tests
  • Assisting with minor procedures
  • Ensuring infection control and safety protocols
  • Scheduling patient appointments and managing calendars
  • Maintaining patient records and documentation
  • Processing insurance claims and verifying patient eligibility
  • Coordinating referrals and pre-authorizations
  • Handling medical inventory
