About The Position

Join IVX Health as a Medical Assistant and Help Redefine Patient Care! As a Medical Assistant at IVX Health, you’ll be the face of our patient experience. From taking vitals to scheduling appointments, you’ll support our nurses and healthcare professionals while contributing to the overall patient journey.

Requirements

  • Enjoys interacting with patients, nurses, and healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong multitasking, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent customer service with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and standard office software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to take and record vital signs and administer medications and injections.
  • Capable of documenting patient care accurately in the EMR and handling telephones and scheduling appointments.
  • Demonstrates ethical healthcare and business practices, ensuring HIPAA compliance and patient privacy.
  • Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant program, with certification.
  • Active and valid Medical Assistant certification or licensure in the state of employment. Candidates must ensure their certification remains current and meet all applicable state-specific regulatory requirements.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an infusion therapy setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and check-in patients, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
  • Assist with scheduling, medical records, and updating insurance information.
  • Support clinical staff by preparing treatment rooms and taking patient vitals.
  • Assist with infusions, subcutaneous injections, and documenting patient care.
  • Help maintain clinic inventory, equipment, and supplies.
  • Perform lab draws, phlebotomy, and other clinical tasks as needed.
