About The Position

This position is responsible for obtaining and documenting patient vitals, performing bedside testing, and executing basic nursing procedures. The role also involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of office and examination rooms, managing equipment, and ensuring adequate supply inventory. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will perform basic clerical duties as needed and assist with other assigned responsibilities. The role requires knowledge of basic nursing and patient care, with an understanding of age-specific patient needs. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Specialized, short-term training in basic patient care.
• Formal nursing assistant and/or medical assistant training required.
• Knowledge of basic nursing and patient care.
• Ability to identify age-specific patient needs appropriate for this position.
• Treat all information and data with appropriate confidentiality and security.
• Cooperate fully in all Risk Management, Quality Management, and Safety Activities and Investigations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a clinic setting preferred.
• Certification in Nurse Assisting or Certification in Medical Assisting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient vitals.
• Perform bedside testing.
• Perform basic nursing procedures such as oral care, perineal/foley care, non-sterile soaks, or thermal applications.
• Ensure cleanliness of office and examination rooms.
• Clean and store equipment.
• Maintain supply inventory and re-stock as required.
• Perform basic clerical duties as needed.
• Assist with additional responsibilities as assigned.
