This full-time, day shift position involves delivering patient care through preparation, vital sign collection, and documentation. The role supports various procedures, exams, and diagnostic equipment, ensuring aseptic techniques and administering medications under provider direction. Responsibilities include chart preparation, filing, communication with patients regarding results and care plans, scheduling, and coordinating follow-ups. The Medical Assistant will also assist with patient outreach, physician schedule coordination, and insurance pre-certifications. Maintaining patient confidentiality, educating patients and families, and advocating for patients are key aspects of the role. The position also involves assisting in training new colleagues, cross-coverage in other clinic areas, and documenting patient care plans. Escalating issues to management and ensuring safety checklists are completed are also required. The role demands maintaining knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and Trinity Health's Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, and policies.
