About The Position

The Medical Assistant will be a key contributor to our first-class care team at Prosano Health Solutions. The Medical Assistant will have end-to-end responsibility for the direct patient care experience. This role is core to partnering with the care team in supporting patients in their journey toward their best health. Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in a medical office environment
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completed a medical assistant certification program
  • An Active Arizona fingerprint clearance card
  • Have a medical assistant certification or complete a medical assistant certification program and obtain a medical assistant registration or certification within one year of hire.
  • Have a Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification at time of hire
  • Completion of N95 Mask Fit Testing within 30 days of hire
  • Completion of all required vaccinations to work in clinic before clinic start date
  • Electronic Medical Records experience
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Understanding of Quality Compliance
  • Strong Infection Control practice
  • Understanding of Medical Terminology
  • Phlebotomy experience with venipuncture and processing labs under CLIA waived practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to include maintaining courteous, friendly, and effective communication with patients, team members and external parties
  • Strong communication skills using multiple modalities (virtual and in-person)

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of experience in a medical office environment
  • An Active Arizona Driver’s license with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Establish a strong rapport with the patient, to include delivering an exceptional patient care experience.
  • Prepare patients for their visit to include communicating details around their scheduled visit, explaining all relevant information clearly, taking vitals, and completing updates to patient records as required.
  • Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and ensure clean instruments are available for the daily care center operations.
  • Operate and maintain medical equipment ensuring proper sterilization and cleanliness.
  • Assist provider with medical treatments, procedures, exams, and diagnostic tests.
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies.
  • Administer medication and injections as directed by Primary Care Provider (PCP).
  • Answer phones, handle correspondence and perform all necessary functions aligned to operational workflows.
  • Provide cross collaboration for multi-care center support.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
