About The Position
Join a compassionate and collaborative team dedicated to providing exceptional cancer care at the Logan Health Oncology Clinic. As a Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA), you’ll play a key role in supporting oncology providers and nurses to deliver seamless, high-quality care. This role involves preparing patients for visits and treatments, assisting providers during exams and procedures, performing specimen collection and point-of-care testing, coordinating patient flow, documenting care in the EMR, supporting scheduling and referrals, maintaining exam rooms and supplies, and providing compassionate communication and education to patients navigating oncology care.
Requirements
- Active Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
- Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient confidentiality and safety.

- Previous experience in oncology, specialty, or hospital-based clinic setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for visits and treatments by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and updating records.
- Assist providers during exams and in-office procedures.
- Perform specimen collection and point-of-care testing as ordered.
- Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient, timely visits.
- Accurately document care in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Support scheduling, referrals, and follow-up communication with patients and families.
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and ensure compliance with infection control standards.
- Provide compassionate, professional communication and education to patients navigating oncology care.
