About The Position

Salud is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their team. The role involves providing welcoming care to patients, determining the nature of their visit, obtaining vitals, maintaining thorough and concise chart documentation, and ensuring a clean and organized environment. The Medical Assistant acts as the first point of contact for patients before they see a Doctor, NP, or PA, contributing to a positive healing journey in a lively and vibrant clinic atmosphere.

Current Medical Assistant Certificate.
A Medical Assistant not certified/registered upon hire is required to complete the Medical Assistant certification/registration testing within 3 months of hire.
All Medical Assistants must be certified within 6 months of hire and certification must be maintained throughout employment.
Medical Assistants without any formal Medical Assistant training are required to have a current Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant.
This position REQUIRES a Medical Assistant (MA) Certification.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program, a minimum of 6 months in length, is preferred.
Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide welcoming care to patients.
Determine the nature of the patient's visit.
Obtain vitals.
Maintain thorough and concise chart documentation.
Maintain a clean and organized environment for both patients and staff.

Benefits

$21 to $27 per hr.
Monday to Friday – 8 am to 5 pm
