About The Position

A Medical Assistant (MA) is an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team, helping patients feel at ease while collaborating with providers throughout their visits. The MA maintains basic life support certification and stays compliant with organizational education, licensure, and certification requirements. The role may cross-train to provide services at multiple sites and float as needed to support clinic operations. This is an on-site position at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in the Neurosciences Clinic. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; weekends and holidays are not scheduled. The position is listed as 1.0 FTE with 10 standard hours.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and one of the following: completion of a Medical Assistant program, LPN program, or EMT-Basic course; one year of on-the-job MA training; or completion of an MA Apprenticeship program.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Providers certification, or an AHA-approved equivalent, within 90 days of hire.
