About The Position

AllHealth Network is hiring a compassionate, dependable Medical Assistant for its Acute Care Division. The role supports clients during critical moments by helping medication and prescription workflows run smoothly. The Medical Assistant works alongside nurses, providers, pharmacies, and behavioral health professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative acute care environment. The schedule is Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, totaling 24 hours per week. The hourly rate is $23–$25.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant Certification in Colorado.
• At least 2 years of direct clinical experience in a medical or behavioral health setting.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience using electronic medical or health records.
• Comfort with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PC-based systems.
• Strong communication, customer service, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassion, reliability, flexibility, and willingness to help.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate prescription orders with community and outside pharmacies.
• Enter and process medication orders accurately.
• Contact pharmacies to clarify prescriptions, confirm availability, and help resolve medication concerns.
• Support medication refills, prescription changes, and pickups as directed by providers or nursing staff.
• Track medication status and communicate updates to the clinical team.
• Promptly escalate medication delays, pharmacy concerns, and other barriers.
• Maintain accurate medication-related documentation.
• Interact with clients respectfully, compassionately, and in a trauma-informed manner.
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and behavioral health professionals in an acute care environment.
