About The Position

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality and compassionate care to patients under the direct supervision of providers and nursing leadership. Your work will directly support healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient experiences, ensuring smooth and efficient clinical operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.

Nice To Haves

Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.

Responsibilities

Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment.
Obtain and document accurate medical histories from patients.
Measure and record vital signs, contributing to comprehensive patient assessments.
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers during these processes.
Perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to support the healthcare team.
