About The Position

We�re providing access to integrated physical, mental, and social health�and you can be part of the impact! We�re looking for a passionate, skilled Medical Assistant to support patients of all ages at our Convenience Care office in Portland, IN. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality care and truly change lives. This position is full time, working 30 hours weekly with a weekend rotation. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday 12noon-8p, Saturday & Sunday 8am-2pm. Some travel, up to 10% may be needed for training and coverage at other locations.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
High school diploma or equivalency required
6-12 months of clinical experience preferred

Nice To Haves

Associates degree preferred
Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred (CMA, NCMA, CCMA, or RMA)

Responsibilities

Guide patients through their visit and prepare them for provider assessments
Take vitals, prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain supplies
Support providers with exams, minor procedures, and patient documentation
Perform phone triage, manage labs and records, and follow infection-control protocols
Conduct screenings (PHQ-9, Edinburgh, GAD-7) and assist with telehealth
Prepare medications, maintain certifications, and protect patient confidentiality
Complete daily/weekly tasks, attend meetings, and uphold OSHA/CLIA standards
