As our Medical Assistant, you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team. Collaborative work environment to include highly engaged physicians, staff and leadership all focused on providing the best level of patient care. Every day, you will take the lead on proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility. You can expect to have multiple patients daily depending on the number of physicians are on-site. Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) and completion of a Medical Assistant certification program at an accredited institution that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.
  • Washington State Certification as a Medical Assistant-Certified.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.

Nice To Haves

  • One year experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greets, prepares, and assists patients during visits, including recording vitals, taking medical history, and providing mobility aid.
  • Performs basic lab tests, phlebotomy, EKGs, administers approved medications, and communicates lab results under provider supervision.
  • Accurately documents medical visits, procedures, orders, patient history, diagnoses, prescriptions, and referrals in the electronic medical record.
  • Reviews medical documentation for accuracy and consistency, complying with legal/ethical requirements for patient confidentiality.
  • Prepares/cleans instruments, maintains tidy and stocked exam rooms, manages supplies, and schedules various appointments and referrals.
  • May handle front office duties like billing/registration, coordinates patient flow for education, and manages phone communications.
