The Medical Assistant will perform rooming/visit tasks such as vital signs, medication reconciliation, medical history, health maintenance, allergy review, and screenings. They will assist providers with procedures, perform lab-related duties including venipuncture and specimen collection, and administer medications and vaccines. The role also involves other duties such as medication refills, insurance authorizations, and patient messaging. The Medical Assistant is expected to maintain a clean work environment, ensure instruments and equipment are in working order, and be stocked appropriately. This position requires the ability to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development over the life span.
