About The Position

Millennium Physician Group is seeking a talented Medical Assistant to join our esteemed Primary Care medical team. This is a full-time float position serving the Tampa, Florida region. The ideal candidate will be positive, energetic, well-organized, able to multi-task, and think outside of the box, with a strong commitment to excellent patient care and customer service. As a Medical Assistant, you will be directly involved in patient care, ensuring a top-notch patient experience. Responsibilities include assisting in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a Physician, ARNP, or PA by collecting patient vitals, medical histories, administering diagnostic testing, performing basic medical procedures, and entering data into electronic health records. Millennium provides ample training, including classroom and hands-on sessions, covering Electronic Health Records systems, referral processes, and the Patient Portal.

Requirements

Completed a Medical Assisting Program/Completion of Certification or Registration
CPR/BLS certification
Ability to type at minimum 40 WPM
All certification received, e.g. CMA, CPR, BLS, etc. must be kept current

Responsibilities

Collecting patient vitals
Collecting patient medical histories
Administering diagnostic testing
Performing basic medical procedures
Entering data in the electronic health records
Assisting in the examination and treatment of patients under direction of the Physician, ARNP or PA
Ensuring excellent patient care and customer service
Providing top notch Patient Experience for every patient
