This posting is for High School Students in a CTE program, specifically for the East Region. The Medical Assistant, under the supervision of a designated supervisor and assigned physician, performs duties related to direct patient care and clinical direction in accordance with organizational standards. Key responsibilities include ensuring completeness of procedures and treatments, managing patient flow, performing general lab work, instructing patients, and ensuring timely execution of medical orders and referrals. The role also involves registration, scheduling, maintaining EMR files, and general front office functions. Computerized physician order entry may be performed if directed by a physician. The Medical Assistant is also expected to precept current MA team members or MA Externs as requested by leadership.
