Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software
  • BLS Certification required.
  • Able and willing to provide world-class service to all stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of community health needs, specifically in underserved populations
  • Willingness to obtain training and provide backup driving support for the mobile clinic
  • Demonstrated strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends as needed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR software
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing 15+ lbs throughout the workday
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English or other language) required

Responsibilities

  • Assist the provider with examinations and procedures
  • Collect and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.)
  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by a provider
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
  • Assist with patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance documentation, and billing processes
  • Assist providers during women's health and maternal care visits — exams, screenings, and hands-on support
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are properly sanitized
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations per the state of Missouri
  • Participate in community outreach events to promote community engagement with the mobile clinic program
