About The Position

As a Medical Assistant, you play a vital role in delivering quality and compassionate patient care. You will work under the direct supervision of providers and nursing leadership, performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. Your efforts ensure a seamless and supportive experience for both patients and healthcare providers, making a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of our community.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five years, OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of one year of experience in clinical medical assisting, OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years, OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years.
  • Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
  • EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience.
  • Obtain and document accurate medical histories from patients.
  • Measure and record vital signs, contributing to comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers during these processes.
  • Perform a variety of clinical tasks to support ambulatory patient care.
