About The Position

We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Medical Assistant at varying levels (I, II, III). The selected candidate will be placed at the appropriate level based on qualifications and experience. All levels contribute to patient care under the supervision of licensed medical professionals, with increasing responsibilities at higher levels. You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
BLS certification through the American Heart Association
No experience required with a certification/registration as a Medical Assistant OR 1 year of directly related Medical Assistant experience without certification/registration
Basic medical/nursing terminology
Computer proficiency
Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant (for MA II and MA III)
5+ years of directly related experience (for MA II)
8+ years of directly related experience (for MA III)
Experience in Ambulatory Care (for MA III)
EPIC and Windows-based computer systems experience

Responsibilities

Provide supportive patient care functions under supervision
Ensure patient safety and comfort in accordance with legal and professional standards
Perform delegated tasks as directed by a physician or RN
Administer injectables and perform advanced clinical tasks
Perform high-level clinical procedures
Serve as a resource for less experienced staff
