Our office needs a reliable Medical Assistant who can provide first-class care to our patients. You’ll be responsible for welcoming patients, giving injections and medications, taking health histories and telephone triage. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of experience as a medical assistant or similar role in a healthcare setting
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program and supervised externship
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Ability to administer medications safely under supervision
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples, document vital signs, and assist with examinations.
• Greet patients, handle calls, schedule appointments, and manage inquiries.
• Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and perform point-of-care tests (strep throat, COVID, flu, mono, hemoglobin, urine tests), state newborn screens (infant heel prick), injections/vaccination
• Assist healthcare staff with examinations, manage patient intake processes, and ensure clinic efficiency.
• Greet all patients and families with kindness and positive energy, ensuring a great experience.
• Travel between clinic locations, manage inventory, and handle daily messages and prescription requests.
• Ensure daily opening and closing of the clinic, maintain cleanliness, and adhere to health and safety regulations
