About The Position
The Medical Assistant will greet patients and escort them to exam rooms, document vital signs, allergies, medications, and the reason for the office visit. They will also perform basic vitals such as blood pressure, height, and weight, and provide front office support as needed. Phlebotomy and giving injections may vary based on the specialty. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) located at Swedish Hospital, with hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Travel to other Medical Group offices may be required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
- CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
- One year of work experience required
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
- Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
- Previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred.
- On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
