About The Position

Nassau Pediatric Associates is seeking a compassionate, organized, and energetic Medical Assistant for their fast-paced practice in Franklin Square, New York. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of children and families.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in a medical office.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficiency in measuring heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, and temperature across all ages.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
• Pediatric experience.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), especially AthenaOne.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients by taking vitals, updating records, and supporting providers to ensure they feel safe and supported.
• Prepare, sanitize, and restock exam rooms for efficient patient visits.
• Maintain accurate documentation, patient history, and electronic medical records.
• Greet families, schedule appointments, answer questions, and handle phone inquiries.
• Assist during procedures and contribute to a positive office environment.
