Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or similar clinical role is advantageous.
  • Understanding of medical terminology related to dermatology.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written for effective patient interactions.
  • Ability to manage sensitive patient information with the utmost confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a medical setting.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software is beneficial.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States in a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and documenting detailed medical histories.
  • Assist providers during dermatologic procedures and examinations, ensuring efficient and high-quality patient care.
  • Perform basic laboratory testing and collect specimens for analysis as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations and practice standards.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling and support seamless communication between patients, providers, and staff.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medication instructions, and skincare recommendations to promote positive outcomes.
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary medical supplies and equipment.
