About The Position

Southern Indiana ENT is seeking experienced Medical Assistant (MA) candidates interested in growing their skills in this unique and comprehensive ENT care setting. This role is full-time, 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday at Columbus with some travel to Greenwood and Franklin as needed. The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians with the evaluation, management, charting, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting. The Medical Assistant assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow and performing basic skills such as vital signs, chief complaints, reviews medications, and point of care testing. The Medical Assistant will maintain upkeep of exam and treatment rooms- restocking supplies, washing, drying and sterilizing instruments. The Medical Assistant will maintain their Provider's Athena Inboxes. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent
Current CPR Certification required
At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Athena preferred
Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred
Minimum of two years clinical experience preferred
Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT or a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities
