About The Position

Neuhaus Foot and Ankle is seeking a Medical Assistant for their growing Smyrna clinics. This is a full-time position with a schedule of 7:45 AM - 4:45 PM. The role involves working closely with a foot and ankle doctor, assisting with patient preparation for exams and minor procedures, and handling administrative tasks. Gap year or pre-med students are welcome to apply, and training is provided. Local Middle Tennessee applicants are preferred.

At least 1 year of full-time experience in a patient facing role or at least 2 years working full-time in a high volume, customer service role

Responsibilities

Greet and escort patients from waiting room to treatment room
Document physician-dictated patient history, including history of present illness, review of systems, past medical and surgical history, family and social histories, medications and allergies.
Document physical examination findings and procedures as performed by the physician
Verify benefits for in office procedures, DME and custom orthotics
Prepare lab work to be sent
Help doctors and other team members as needed
Answer phones and follow up with patients during non-clinic time
Perform all other duties as assigned
Traveling to other clinics as needed
Giving high fives to colleagues
