About The Position

Join our dynamic team as a Medical Assistant in Preadmissions, where your compassionate care and organizational skills will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless patient journey. This role also offers the exciting opportunity to cross‑train in both Urology and Pulmonary, expanding your clinical skill set and supporting multiple specialty areas. This is a .6 FTE position, working 48 hours bi-weekly. The schedule is Monday – Friday, with hours between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm. No weekend or holiday hours are required.

Requirements

Graduate of a Medical Assistant program, Practical Nursing program or Vocational Nurse program or have completed education to be eligible for NCLEX-PN
Or High School Diploma or equivalency and attained a Medical Assistant Certification
BLS CPR for healthcare workers
Medical Assistant Certification within 15 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

Provide LOVE + MEDICINE to our patients by greeting them with a warm and welcoming smile and setting the tone for their appointment
Support patients who are preparing for future surgical procedures (Preadmission Testing and Teaching - PATT)
Assist patients seeing providers in our department and handle various tasks related to their pre-surgical planning
Update patient information in charting systems
Take vitals
Have hands on experience working on procedures with nurses and providers
Partner with a team of providers, medical professionals, and managers who are here to support your success and that of our patients in their health journeys.
