Become a part of our caring community The Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs advanced administrative, operational, customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. Location: CenterWell Senior Primary Care office located at 915 South Rainbow Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89145. Requirements

  • Certified or Registered
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Medication/vaccine administration experience
  • 1+ years MA experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR Certified
  • Required to be screened for TB

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years MA experience in PCO center
  • Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication

Responsibilities

  • Discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs.
  • Administer medication and vaccines and perform phlebotomy and diagnostic screening tests.
  • Sterilize and clean equipment and maintain examination rooms.
  • Document information into the electronic medical records system.
  • Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
  • Deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows.
  • Prioritize requests and interpret and adapt procedures, processes, and techniques.
  • Contribute to process improvement.
  • Deliver in-depth education.
  • Provide advanced guidance/mentoring to other Medical Assistants.
