About The Position
Vail Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their Family Med team in Vail, Colorado. This role is crucial to supporting providers and patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors. The Medical Assistant will work independently, compassionately, and professionally to deliver top-tier care in a unique mountain setting. Requirements
- 2+ years of clinical or administrative healthcare experience preferred
- Skilled in venipuncture, injections, and IV therapy
- Certified as a Medical Assistant, EMT, LPN, RN, or similar
- BLS certification required
- Tech-savvy with EHR systems and basic computer skills
Responsibilities
- Taking vitals and documenting patient history
- Assisting with exams and minor procedures
- Performing venipunctures, injections, and IV therapy
- Monitoring patient conditions and communicating updates
- Managing patient communications and flow
- Keeping exam rooms stocked, clean, and ready
- Upholding HIPAA, OSHA, and Vail Health’s values
