About The Position

This role involves welcoming and interviewing patients, accurately measuring and documenting vital signs, and preparing examination rooms. The Medical Assistant will assist with treatments under the supervision of providers, perform clinical duties, and provide administrative support such as managing patient records, answering calls, and charting. Key responsibilities include documenting provider-patient encounters, detailing diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions, as well as transcribing patient orders for lab work, testing, and medications.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
1 year of medical assistant experience.
Medical assistant education and training.

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred.
