Medical Assistant - Northbrook, IL
About The Position
As a Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Northbrook, IL. The scheduled hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 8am-5pm and Wednesday, 9am-6pm. Closed daily for lunch 1-2pm. This position will provide coverage for our front desk as well as support clinically when needed. Premise's mission is to help people get, stay, and be well. Requirements
- One year of experience
- Strong phlebotomy skills
- Previous reception and scheduling experience required

Responsibilities
- Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
- Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
- Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
- Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
- Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
- Performs other duties as assigned
