The Medical Assistant will perform rooming/visit tasks such as vital signs, medication reconciliation, medical history, health maintenance, allergy review, and screenings. They will assist providers with procedures, perform lab-related duties including venipuncture and specimen collection, and administer medications and vaccines. The role also involves medication refills, insurance authorizations, safety/regulatory log completion, patient messaging, medication/supply ordering, appointment scheduling, and referrals. The Medical Assistant will be cross-trained for duties relevant to specialty or clinic practice and must demonstrate effective communication, teamwork, and maintain a clean work environment. This position requires the ability to provide age-appropriate care, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
