About The Position

A Medical Assistant is a healthcare professional and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team. The MA is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit. The MA is responsible for maintaining basic life support certification and remaining compliant with all organization educational, licensure or certification. This role may cross-train to provide services across sites and float as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus one of the following: Completion of an MA program, LPN program, or EMT-Basic course OR one year of on-the-job MA training OR completion of an MA Apprenticeship program.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Providers (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
