Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant. As a Medical Assistant, you will work closely with providers and patients to support high-quality, efficient care throughout the clinic. From preparing patients for their visits to assisting with clinical procedures and coordinating follow-up care, you will be an essential part of the patient experience and daily operations of the practice.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and current Medical Assistant certification.
  • Current CPR certification, or ability to obtain certification within four months of hire.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organization, computer, telephone, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and regularly lift up to 10 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish speaking preferred but not required.
  • Previous medical or healthcare experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Assist providers reach Value Based Care goals.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and provider visits.
  • Obtain and accurately document medical histories, vital signs, and other patient information.
  • Reconcile medications and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, injections, and other in-office treatments as needed.
  • Triage, phone calls and patient messages.
  • Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, follow-up appointments, and other aspects of Value Based patient care.
  • Maintain clean, organized, fully stocked, and patient-ready examination rooms.
  • Follow clinic policies, professional standards, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with providers and fellow team members to ensure efficient daily clinic operations.
