Medical Assistant - Sarasota
About The Position
MaxHealth in Sarasota is looking to hire a full-time Medical Assistant to oversee patient care, prepare patients' rooms, assist physicians with exams, and perform front desk tasks. The candidate for this role will perform a wide-range of medical office tasks in front/back office. This healthcare position earns a competitive wage, depending on experience. Starting Salary $20.00 an hour. Positions available: Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota- Bilingual preferred, 1 year experience required.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience as an MA
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Computer literacy (experience using EMR/EHR)
- Computer proficient
- Previous Experience with Medical Records

Responsibilities
- Oversee patient care
- Prepare patients' rooms
- Assist physicians with exams
- Perform front desk tasks
- Perform a wide range of medical office tasks in front/back office
- Greet patients warmly and triage them upon arrival
- Prepare examination and procedure rooms
- Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and procedures for patients
- Manage necessary documents such as pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results
- Assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments
