About The Position

As a Medical Assistant, you'll provide both clinical and administrative support to help ensure patients receive exceptional care throughout their visit while keeping daily clinic operations running smoothly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with a patient-focused approach.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar computer applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of clerical procedures, recordkeeping, and medical documentation.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in an outpatient clinic or medical specialty practice preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and other clinical information while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Prepare examination and procedure rooms, equipment, and medical instruments.
  • Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and patient treatments.
  • Prepare, order, and administer medications under physician supervision, as permitted.
  • Assist with safely transferring patients before and after procedures.
  • Provide compassionate support and education to patients and their families.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient communication.
  • Schedule appointments, check in patients, update medical records, and ensure required documentation is complete.
  • Maintain exam room supplies, equipment, and medical inventory.
  • Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and all applicable regulatory standards.
  • Complete required training and assist with additional clinic responsibilities as needed.
