About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Center for Women's Health in Franklin, Tennessee. VUMC is a community dedicated to advancing health and wellness through patient care, education, and research. This role supports the licensed healthcare team by managing clinic patient flow, gathering patient screening data, assisting with patient education, and communicating with the healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will help maintain supplies, equipment, and environmental standards, facilitate identification of resources for patient needs, and perform/assist with procedures. Responsibilities

Supports the licensed healthcare team in performing office examinations and procedures by organizing and managing clinic patient flow, gathering and documenting patient screening data, assisting with patient and family education and communication with patient's health care team.
Directs and supports patient flow as well as unit operations by maintaining supplies, equipment and unit environmental standards.
Facilitates identification of resources to meet patient healthcare needs.
Performs/assists with procedures according to organizational/departmental standards.
Collects and documents patient screening data for the healthcare team.
Assists with patient and family education.
