About the Practice: Our Menopause MA position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a dedicated provider specializing in midlife and postmenopausal care. This role allows you to support patients through one of life’s most transformative phases, building long-term relationships while delivering compassionate, personalized care. In this role, you’ll assist with: Comprehensive postmenopausal care, including tailored screenings and wellness assessments. Hormone therapy support, helping patients navigate treatment options to manage symptoms and promote long-term health. Sexual health counseling coordination, addressing changes in intimacy and supporting patients in maintaining fulfilling lifestyles. We’re here to help our patients move through this stage of life with confidence, comfort, and the care they deserve—and we’re looking for an MA who shares that mission. This unique position also provides Menopause and hormone therapy support to our cancer patients along their journey. About Outpatient Clinics: Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice Required
- 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
- One of the following Required within 120 Days: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
Responsibilities
- Assist with comprehensive postmenopausal care, including tailored screenings and wellness assessments.
- Assist with hormone therapy support, helping patients navigate treatment options to manage symptoms and promote long-term health.
- Assist with sexual health counseling coordination, addressing changes in intimacy and supporting patients in maintaining fulfilling lifestyles.
- Provide Menopause and hormone therapy support to cancer patients.
