About The Position

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join their care team. This role is crucial in delivering excellent patient care and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. Due to Marathon Health's unique model, Medical Assistants manage the entire patient journey, encompassing both Medical Receptionist and clinical responsibilities.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
National or state-specific MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required.
CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.

Nice To Haves

National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
Review patient medical information and gather updated health information.
Take vitals, perform blood draws, administer injections, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures.
Work with contracted labs for additional tests.
Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
Collaborate with the care team to develop patient plans of care and address gaps in care.
Perform front desk duties including patient scheduling, medical record requests and abstraction, documentation, coordinating specialist visits and referrals, check-in, and check-out.
Record accurate data in the medical record according to guidelines.
Process test results and communicate them to patients as directed by the Provider.
Participate in patient outreach to drive engagement.
Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.
