About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) for a short-term contract assignment in an outpatient clinical setting in Maple Grove, MN. This role requires a skilled professional with strong front-office and back-office experience, including patient intake, phlebotomy, EKGs, scheduling, and EMR documentation. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment while delivering high-quality patient care and clinical support.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience required (excluding externship)
  • Front-office and back-office Medical Assistant experience required
  • Phlebotomy and venipuncture experience required
  • Experience performing EKGs and POC testing required
  • Scheduling and patient rooming experience required
  • Experience taking and documenting patient vitals required
  • EMR experience required
  • Current BLS or CPR Certification required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer and documentation skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a clinical setting

Nice To Haves

  • 2–3 years of healthcare or clinical experience preferred
  • Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
  • Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
  • Patient education and outreach experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support both front-office and back-office clinical operations
  • Greet, room, and prepare patients for provider visits
  • Take and accurately document patient vital signs
  • Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures
  • Administer vaccines and provide clinical assistance as needed
  • Perform EKGs and Point-of-Care (POC) testing
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate clinic workflow
  • Answer phones and assist with patient communication
  • Maintain accurate Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation
  • Assist providers and nursing staff with patient care support
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient visits
  • Support patient education and outreach initiatives
  • Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff
  • Deliver quality patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment
