About The Position

The Medical Assistant (MA) at our Community Health Partners - Urgent Care Herndon Clinic, supports the medical practice providers and nurses in providing medical or technical procedures and assists with patient flow and care. Specific duties include taking vital signs, giving handouts, graphing height, weight, blood-pressure, giving injections and ensuring that appropriate tests are completed prior to doctor's examination.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California required
• 3 months of experience in the medical field required
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
