About The Position

SAGE Counseling is actively looking for a Medical Assistant (MA) to provide clinical and administrative support to psychiatric providers within SAGE Counseling’s Psychiatric Services program. The MA is responsible for supporting patient care workflows, including vital signs collection, medication support activities, patient preparation, and documentation in the electronic health record. The MA ensures all duties are performed in accordance with SAGE Counseling policies, ADHS regulations, and established clinical standards. The MA does not independently diagnose, prescribe, or make clinical decisions. Clients are seen in-person at our Tempe, Scottsdale, or Glendale office - you will have an office based out of which of these offices is closest to your home. Some travel may be required to visit these offices as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of medical instruments and sterilization procedures

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• Previous experience in a behavioral health or medical setting
• Experience working in a clinical setting alongside Nurse Practitioners or physicians
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Additional certifications such as CPR, First Aid, Fingerprint Clearance Card
