About The Position

INTEGRIS Health is seeking a full-time, day-shift Medical Assistant for its Primary Care Outpatient Clinic in Mooreland, Oklahoma. The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care under the direction of a provider and/or clinical supervisor. Duties include taking vital signs and patient histories, venipuncture, laboratory and x-ray tasks, referrals, and handling patient phone messages. The role gathers and documents patient information, contributes to assessments and care planning, monitors patient status, and helps organize clinic workflow and telephone communications.

Requirements

Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or registration, or six months of clinic Medical Assistant experience.
CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

Six months of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Take patient vital signs and histories, perform venipuncture and lab and x-ray tasks, make referrals, and handle patient phone messages as directed by the provider and/or clinical supervisor.
Gather and document information about patient condition, including lab values, pain levels, patient education needs, nutritional status, and potential complications.
Contribute to patient assessment and reassessment.
Monitor and document patient status.
Participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care and appropriate patient-care interventions, which may include administering medications other than narcotics.
Manage a large call volume while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette.
Organize workflow to meet patient needs in a timely manner.
May retrieve and transport medications.
Report to the assigned director, manager, supervisor, or lead.
