About The Position
Sun Life Health is seeking a Medical Assistant – Outlying to join their team. This role supports providers and ensures smooth patient care across multiple sites. The Medical Assistant will assist with patient preparation, exams, immunizations, lab testing, and phlebotomy. They will also educate patients on medications, preventative care, and self-management goals, while maintaining accurate documentation, clinic standards, and equipment/supply readiness. Additionally, the role involves front desk support, including check-in/out, payments, and scheduling, and acting as a professional liaison between patients, providers, and other facilities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR certification required (can be obtained during orientation)
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred; eligible for certification pay differential
- 2–5 years’ Medical Assistant experience preferred
