About The Position

Summit Surgical Center is seeking an experienced full time Medical Assistant to support our Ambulatory Surgery Center team on an as-needed basis.

Position Overview

The Medical Assistant will assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient care and support clinical staff during procedural days. Flexibility and reliability are essential.

Requirements

• Demonstrated IV insertion competency (required)
• Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience strongly preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
• Current BLS certification
• Strong knowledge of infection control and sterile technique
• Ability to work efficiently in a procedural setting
• Professional communication skills and patient-centered demeanor
• Full Time
• Scheduled around procedural days
• Must have flexible availability

Nice To Haves

• Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform IV insertions
• Assist with patient intake, vital signs, and documentation
• Support pre-op and PACU workflow
• Assist with room turnover and supply preparation
• Maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards
• Collaborate closely with RNs and physicians
