About The Position

Join Our Dynamic Rite of Passage Team as a Medical Assistant at Canyon State Academy in Queen Creek, AZ. Canyon State Academy is located on a scenic 180-acre campus surrounded by a Farm, Student Housing for 300 + youth, a Thrift Store, Cafe, Barbershop and Church open to the community incorporating life skills for our students. Along with a fully equipped weight room, football stadium, and athletic center (gymnasium, padded wrestling room & more), Canyon State has it all! After 40 years of improving the lives of youth, we are looking for passionate advocates to continue the legacy of helping young people become successful adults. Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Certification for Medical Assistant or Nurses Assistant required
Successfully completed QMAP training
Be at least 21 years of age
Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test
Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Responsibilities

Works as a staff member of the Student Services team.
Serves as an assistant to the entire Student Health Services Department.
Coordinates the flow of students to be seen by the health care professionals within programs and the scheduling of students to be seen by outside health care professionals.
Maintain accurate records of youth progress, behaviors, and incidents, ensuring compliance with program policies.
