About The Position

Join the largest outpatient Neurology clinic in West Michigan and be part of a team that is setting the standard for exceptional neurologic care. Our practice offers comprehensive services across general neurology, movement disorders, neuromuscular and neuroimmunology conditions, and headache disorders. Our Headache Clinic is growing rapidly, creating an exciting opportunity for a Medical Assistant to work closely with specialized headache providers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role offers hands-on involvement in patient care, including direct support in our expanding Botox clinic, and the opportunity to contribute to a highly regarded and innovative neurology program. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice Required
  • 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
  • One of the following Required within 120 Days: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
