About The Position
Valley Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their Family Practice team at the Northampton Health Center. This is a dynamic opportunity within a provider-owned, multi-specialty group serving a diverse community across four locations in the Pioneer Valley.
Requirements
- Medical Assisting program certificate, EMT license, or CNA license
- Current CPR certification
- EMR experience (Athena preferred)
- Experience working as a Medical Assistant, EMT, or CNA
Nice To Haves
- CMA or RMA certification strongly preferred
- Proof of completion of an ABHES or CAAHEP accredited Medical Assisting program preferred
- Experience administering vaccines
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for their visit by obtaining vitals, patient history, medication reconciliation and reviewing allergies
- Assist with procedures and point-of-care testing
- Ordering necessary tests required for the visit to ensure satisfaction of the QM Tab measures.
- Document encounters in the Electronic Medical Record (Athena)
