About The Position

Foot & Ankle Surgical Associates, a division of US Foot & Ankle Specialists, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Medical Assistant to join their growing podiatry team. As a Medical Assistant, you will work directly alongside physicians to provide hands-on patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with patients, supporting providers during procedures, and being part of a collaborative clinical team. Medical Assistants receive hands-on training and ongoing clinical education to help build skills and succeed in the role.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience
Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed
Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

Nice To Haves

CMA or RMA certification preferred
Experience with medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred)
Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment
Detail-oriented, professional, and patient-focused

Responsibilities

Welcome patients, room them, take vitals, update medical history, and prepare them for exams
Assist physicians with injections, wound care, nail care, minor procedures, and in-office surgeries
Apply DME, strappings, and pads; take X-rays; prepare and submit lab specimens
Prepare and maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure clinical supplies are stocked
Provide patient education and follow-up communication
Support scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and other administrative tasks as needed
Verify insurance, referrals, and authorizations
Maintain accurate patient records through EMR documentation, scanning, and data entry
Support billing follow-ups, orthotics tracking, and daily office operations
