About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a Full-Time Credentialed or Non-Credentialed Medical Assistant in our Neurosurgery & Spine – West Clinic in Southwest Portland. This position requires excellent customer service and communication skills.

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of Medical Office Experience is strongly preferred.
• New GRADS, MA, EMT and CNA's are Welcome to apply!
• Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS may be required by specialty.
• Excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians and other team members.
• A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

• Medical assisting and Specialty care experience is a plus!
• Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred.
• Epic experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Assisting the medical staff by collecting information, taking vitals, escorting patients to exam rooms, and preparing patients for examination.
• Managing clinic needs for new clinical nurse practitioner.
• Care plan coordination.
• Assists with prescription refill requests and inventory control of supplies.
• Obtaining and completing insurance information.
• Updating records as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
