Georgia Oncology and Hematology Consultants is looking for a PRN Medical Assistant to support their growing Brunswick office. This role involves assisting physicians with medical procedures in the office, performing phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, and instrument troubleshooting and maintenance. The Medical Assistant will follow established safety guidelines, maintain cleanliness of the laboratory and equipment, and comply with all Federal and State laws and regulations pertaining to patient care, patients’ rights, safety, billing, and collections. They will adhere to all AON and departmental policies and procedures, including IT policies and procedures and the Disaster Recovery Plan, and maintain the confidentiality of all patient information at all times. The role may also involve assisting in training new employees and working at any AON location to meet business needs, including overtime when required.
